Job interviews can be stressful at the best of times. That's understandable - especially if it's for a job you really want. You don't found 4 companies without having a prodigious knack for hiring the right people. More specifically, you don't found 4 of the most successful, innovative, and exciting new age companies without having a prodigious knack for hiring the right people. X.com (later merged with Paypal), SpaceX, Tesla Motors, and SolarCity are all the brainchildren of one Elon Musk, whose fearless trailblazing attitude towards new-age tech has made him something of a demi-god among… Continue

It’s no secret that the world of recruitment is all pretty new to me, and as it rolls up to my second month at Enigma People Solutions I have made a few observations of the industry. The one that jumps out to me is how the industry is judged. Call it naivety but I had not realised the reputation recruiters, in particular IT recruiters, had in today’s market, they seem to be painted as the villains of the recruitment world. What seems… Continue

They sit there in a deep stare, barely moving, likely not even breathing - then BOOM - an eruption of disappointment, followed by the resolve to do even better next time, even if it means subsidizing their time spent on homework or interacting with their… Continue

Any employee who has gone through the dramatic economic downturn that began in 2008 knows, for the last few years, the mantra has been, “keep your head down, keep working, and be glad you have a job.” During this period, employers instituted round after round of layoffs and the remaining employees continued to absorb more work… Continue

This week I took my youngest daughter to see Disney's latest, "Saving Mr. Banks." Truth be told, she wanted to see it far more than I did; I didn't expect to glean much from it at all. I'm pleased to report I was wrong. You might not think that a movie about the making of another movie, Mary Poppins,… Continue

Recruitment Process Outsourcing. This phrase burst onto the recruiting scene in the past 10-15 years or so, but the concept of it has been around for much longer.
