Branding is important and we all know that. A strong brand can make a company, and a weak brand can break it. Employer branding is even more important and I’ve mentioned why several times – a good employer branding takes an organization’s company culture, values, and story and makes it part of the overall brand. Moreover, employer branding is meant to directly impact an…Continue

Most employment experts agree that accounting is one of the few professions expected to be "safe" over the next decade, with plenty of opportunities, even as much of the job market remains difficult for white-collar workers. Remaining competitive, however, is more important for accountants than perhaps anyone else, as the wealth of opportunities will draw top candidates with whom you'll have to compete.
The single best way to to do this is to master software applications that you'll…Continue

Plagiarism is considered a why one of the biggest threats for the academic community. There are many writers who do the Plagiarized work and can be very harmful for an organization and it can lead to many lawsuits against it. It is generally done by the writers who work on the daily basis and content writing is only their work rather that their interest and passion. Plagiarism can also ruin…Continue

With each recruiting role I’ve taken the world has gotten bigger and bigger. My very first role was hiring delivery drivers in an around my own neighborhood. This week I’m setting up interviews for a guy in Seoul. The times have changed indeed. One of the talented presenters from Talent42 was Kevin Wheeler – hey any guy who’s profile pic appears to have been taken at a winery is ok by me. J I was lucky enough to sit next to Kevin on Day…Continue
I don't know many tech recruiters who don't at least have a grudging appreciation of Dice. Not only was Dice one of the sponsors of Talent42, their new President Shravan Goli gave a presentation on their latest offering, Open Web. I think he said he's been on the job for…Continue

A few months back we published the Corporate Mobile Readiness Report, an assessment of the Fortune 500′s presence on the mobile web. We evaluated the companies on six criteria ranging from native apps, to mobile optimization of the corporate site, the career site, as well as the continuity between them. It was not surprising to find out that most companies are not ready. Less than 30% have mobile corporate websites, and only 13% have a…Continue

Over the last six months as I have fully immersed myself into the world of mobile recruiting one of the first things I learned about was the difference between an mSite and a native app. I have found that there is a lot of confusion out there on this subject as well as some strong opinions, so I thought it would be worthy of a discussion.
First the definitions:
mSite – Also known as a mobile web app, or mobile optimized web site. It is essentially a web site…Continue

Sourcing for passive candidates puts the recruiter in the driver’s seat as they look for candidates with specific experience and/or skill sets.
Obviously there were other reasons why recruiters prefer passive candidates, but this…Continue

We’ve been doing some recruiting recently and let’s not mince words: it’s a gigantic pain in the backside. My company is now entering a real growth situation and we’re starting to staff up and when starting the hiring process the other day it occurred to me just how backward and upside down the whole hiring malarkey is. So it got me thinking……’we’re hiring a web developer, in a perfect world, how would I like it to happen’ and this is what I came up…Continue
