Why does gaps in employment matter so much !!!

This is a regular scenario every now and then, most of the candidates are having gaps in employment. If anyone takes break and then decide to return to the workforce, I Don't see a problem there, then why does it matter so much?

What can be the best selling point to place such candidates? Lets do some knowledge sharing :)

Any success stories related to such placements , please share ..

Do" from year to year" and not "from month, year to month, year". If you have less than a year gap: this works- at least it has for me.

If it's more than a year- they need to have a good explanation....

Thanks Keith for your response.

But I feel for senior candidates who worked for 20 yrs or more deserve time off, may be take care of family or pursuing a hobby or may be just for relaxing at home for a while.

You're very welcome, Manjit. What people deserve and what they get are often very far apart, though.

Please keep blogging.

*Sat Sri Akal,

* I hope it is proper for me to say that.
