On the right hand side of RecruitingBlogs.com you will now notice a feed showing all of the activity in real time taking place on the Jobster Network. It includes, profile updates, new contacts and answers/questions about career advice. We’ll try it for a month and see if it’s of interest to
the users of RecruitingBlogs.com and if so, it’ll stay and if not, we can put something else there.
And since this post is about functionality, what do you find most useful about RecruitingBlogs.com? There is definitely functionality versus speed issues. The more feeds on the front page, the slower the site.
For instance, how important is the big live RSS feed on the main page? Is that a main reason you come to RecruitingBlogs.com? Or is it because you can read all of the “out there” conversations the Recruiting Animal starts with people. I know it’s cool to see what everyone looks like and to see
what they do. I like the big RSS feed and I like reading the blog posts. I also like the fact that the site has introduced me to a number of very good people.
I remember a conversation I had with John Sumser (actually, it comes up almost every time I speak to him) about Networks. He always says that a network is successful when the members of it get at least twice as much value out of it versus what they put in and if the network is to be super
successful, it needs to be at an even higher level. So, if this is true, and it makes sense to me, is this the case with RecruitingBlogs.com? Is there value being delivered?
I guess what I am asking, is RecruitingBlogs.com working for you? I appreciate all feedback. Thanks
