Use of Recruitment Agencies in the US

Down Under, Recruitment Agencies run rampant. I have seen some amazing numbers today claiming that Agency use for new hires is about 2% in the US with some companies.

I am interested to hear what effect that has had on the way that Agencies do business and how business views them....

I work for Adecco and I know that we have quite a large presence down under. Are you familiar with Adecco? I can say from my part of the world most businesses are very familiar with agencies and certainly with HR doing more with less, they are usually pretty receptive to my calls and seeing what my candidates have to offer.
