As one of the owners of job board CollegeRecruiter.com, I have to look at this from the other side of the fence. We're told by many and perhaps most of our larger clients that they want us to contact them in the late fall. Most of our contacts then prove to be very difficult to reach but are very receptive when we get through.

I suspect that there are a ton of phone messages and voice mails because many aren't returned promptly which leads to multiple calls and messages from the same vendors.
