Had a discussion with a colleague the other day about sales training.

We were talking about independent reps who are self employed. Therefore, any training costs are paid out of their own pockets.

It’s interesting to note how the training costs are out of reach for struggling sales reps who really need the help. Reps who can barely make ends meet at home let alone pay for high priced sales training. And I mean hard dollar costs - no semantics about opportunity cost please.

Then you have the reps who are doing really well. They can afford a sales trainer but don’t see any need for it.

It must be a tough for sales reps to sell sales training. (say “sales reps sell sales training” 3 times outloud as fast as you can!)
