With plans to launch its site this summer, Montreal-based Standout Jobs, Inc. announced that it had raised $1.4M in seed financing from Garage Technology Ventures Canada and angel investor Austin Hill. The start-up promises to change the face of recruiting with a job site that leverages social media tools including video, social networking, blogging, and widgets. Given the fact that most halfway decent job sites already utilize those tools, it’ll be interesting to see what Standout Jobs plans to do differently.
