How Bill Vick and I put our recent deal together. All on the telephone but first, a video where I interviewed him at BullHorn Live back in 99

Ring Ring

Bill Vick: Is this Jason?

Jason: How are you Bill?

Bill: Remember that video we did at Bullhorn Live in Vegas a few years back?

Jason: I loved that video, I talked too much in that video but....

Bill: I know, I remember. I had never heard of Bon Jovi.

Jason: I think that is what I most remember. It was a good video.

Bill: Listen, I'm ready to start the next phase of my life.

Jason: Good, you deserve it. You know, I remember the 1st time I called you. I remember I was in a private office of the search firm I was running. I remember I called you up, you answered and I hung up on you, I was so intimidated. Funny eh?

Bill: I didn't know that.

Jason: I know, I never told anyone that.

Bill: Enough! Listen to me. It's time for the next part of my life. You here what I'm saying?

Jason: Do you still own HR.net and Recruiters On Line?

Bill: You know I do and...

Jason: Wait a second.

Ring Ring

Jason: Hello?

Recruiting Animal
: JD, I have a real issue with you.

Jason: I'm talking to Bill Vick on the other line.

Recruiting Animal: He was terrible on my show last week.

Jason: Bye.

Jason: Bill, sorry about that, the recruiting animal called.

Bill : You know, I can't decide if I dislike that show because he is so good at making you dislike it or is it that I just dislike him because he's obnoxious and yells too much so because of that, I dislike his show.

Jason: Ok, so what do you want to do with everything?

Bill: Lets work something out.

Jason: Alright.

A good tongue in cheek dialog Jason but actually I'm a huge fan of the Animal. We all take things a little too seriously from time to time and Michael reminds me that life is about being who you are and letting the chips fall where they may. His interview on XtremeRecruiting.tv remains the #1 viewed video out of 300.

And he is a big fan of yours. I'm glad you likes the post. I enjoyed writing it and I'm happy how things worked out with this acquisition. Thanks again for everything.

Bill, couldn't have you set that one video aside and sold it --- to me!
