I have some indelible memories, like when my daughter was born and the day I got Google Voice. The Sun broke through dark clouds and I was totally like thank you Jesus! Finally, I can make free VOIP calls anywhere in the U.S with free SMS messaging!
Queue the Gary Wright’s “Dream Weaver” and slip away from away from all this high unemployment shouting, “I have Google Voice! I have Google Voice!”
GV opens up a whole new world for us nerdy recruiters too. Rich features that allow Recruiters to have multiple phone numbers – oh yeah, bring back the ole’ days of telephony sleuthing. GV also has a centralized voicemail system that comes with transcripts. God is good!
Then some of the iPhone people awoke this morning only to find that the GV has been removed from the App store. Then it went even further, GV was blocked.
Who do think you are, Amazon?!?
iPhone cronies. It’s true. You got to let AT&T know that this is the best thing to come in Telephony since…um the iPhone. GV must be available to all iPhones.
While you’re dialing your congressmen and writing scathing emails to Apple, I will be checking my Google Voice periodically and using it to make free calls. I’m using Android. I’d say call me but that could be expensive, so just Tweet me @Glennlist
