Worked in the design team as Sr. Business Analyst for development of a new Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) based e-commerce system and Sales Order Entry system, which is part of Infor’s new SOA based ERP.

• Worked as subject matter expert and was responsible for requirement gathering, creating design documents and use cases. Requirement for new Infor’s ERP system came from existing Infor’s ERP systems like XA, LX, Baan and Infor’s customers.
• Worked with the Business leads of ERP modules on integration of new e-commerce system with Infor’s ERP.
• Coordinated with QA and engineering teams in development during construction and QA phases of the project.
• Worked with technology architects in understanding of Infor’s Open SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) technology and its impact on Business.
• Worked in integration of Legacy (RPG based) application to the new Java based e-commerce system.


Intermec Technologies, Cincinnati, OH June 2000 – March 2008

Worked as Sr. Analyst and was responsible for managing an ERP system (Mapics XA).

• Data conversion from Mapics XA to SAP R/3: Managed data conversion from Mapics XA to SAP R/3 which includes identifying, mapping and converting data from Mapics XA to SAP R/3 as part of migration to one global ERP system. This project also included supporting data cleansing, working with the Business users to perform data clean up and designing conversion for respective process areas.

• E-commerce System: Implemented a web based customer sales order system that integrates to the existing ERP system (Mapics XA). COM_Net2, developed by Lexel, is a bolt-on solution that provides real-time eBusiness to Mapics XA. Responsibilities included designing and developing interface applications, setting up customer specific catalogs and implementing COM_NET2.

• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance: Developed, documented and implemented internal controls, changed IT business processes and applications for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, worked with department managers and auditors to develop and implement Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.

• ERP (Mapics XA) upgrade from release 5.5 to release 6.0: Responsible for upgrading Mapics, Mapics modifications, custom application objects including Integrator objects, queries and reports that access Mapics data and program libraries. Responsibilities among other things included collaborating with all the functional groups and analyzing, defining, testing and deploying Mapics 6.0.

• Enterprise Product Management (EPDM): EPDM is a Mapics XA module that tracks the configurations of parts, bills of material, routing operations and also the revisions and history of product designs. Responsibilities included testing, implementing EPDM and training users.

• Costing System: Designed, developed, implemented and tested a cost accounting system that calculates the standard costs based on the manufacturing process and materials used. It also includes year-end standard cost rollup and reporting needs of cost accounting. This application is integrated with the existing ERP application (Mapics XA).

• ERP (Mapics XA) upgrade from release 5.0 to release 5.5: Upgraded Mapics from release 5.0 to release 5.5. As part of the upgrade worked on analyzing, defining, testing and deploying Mapics 5.5.

• Available to Promise (ATP): Designed, developed and implemented an IT application to calculate uncommitted portion of Intermec’s Media inventory and planned production maintained in the master schedule to support customer-order promising. This application allows scheduling department to manage promise dates based on the business rules provided by management. This application is completely integrated into Mapics-XA

Worked as a consultant on the following projects for various clients of R-Systems:

• Data conversion from BPCS and Mapics to SAP R/3 – MANRoland, Westmont, IL: Responsible for identifying, mapping and converting data from BPCS and Mapics XA to SAP R/3. This project also included supporting data cleansing, working with the Business to perform data clean up and designing conversion for respective process areas. • Year 2000 compliance testing – GH Bass, Portland, ME: Managed the testing of Year 2000 compliance of Sales module for client GH Bass, Portland Maine. As part of the project I developed testing processes and tools for Year 2000 compliance. This involved RPG and CL programming, Queries and SQL. Environment: AS/400, RPG/400

•ERP System (System 2000) upgrade – Express Seed Company, Oberlin, OH: Worked in a team for upgrading System 2000 and custom application objects. This project required extensive RPG and CL programming skills. . Environment: AS/400, RPG/400

• Year 2000 compliance testing- AIG United Guaranty, Greensboro, NC: Worked in the Year 2000 compliance audit department and was responsible for testing Year 2000 compliance. This project involved developing tools for testing which required extensive use of RPG and CL programming, Queries and SQL. . Environment: AS/400, RPG/400
