It was the day after Christmas and I found myself in front of a microphone, wearing headphones and fighting the normal pre-interview butterflies at the brand new
WFYI studios, just outside of downtown Indy. Then through the headphones I hear the voice of
NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday host,
Liane Hansen and was unusually right at ease. Liane,
who has hosted the show nearly 20 years, was a stranger although has an innate ability to make you feel comfortable allowing the words to flow. A perfect characteristic for a journalist wouldn't you say? Thanks to Liane and NPR for recognizing the importance of what we, as a group, are doing to create a true
National Labor Exchange which includes serving our veterans.
