Ryan and I made it out to Chicago with no problems other than my flight being an hour late. The weather is colder here compared to home but the city is bustling away. The Chicago marathon, Notre Dame playing Miami at Soldier Field, the Graph expo (large printing industry conference) and HR Tech are all going on at the same time. Fun!
Today is HR Evolution and the beginning of HR Tech. If you have never heard of these, you should learn about them. HR Evolution is an "unconference" which focuses on interactive dialogue much like RecruitFest rather than just presentations. Some of the biggest names in HR and Recruiting blogging are speaking again this year: John Sumser, Gerry Crispin, William Tincup, Craig Fisher, Lance Haun, and Laurie Ruettimann. These folks always give great presentations and cover the latest and greatest in HR and Recruiting. The event itself is hosted by two experts Steve Boese and Trish McFarlane who alone are worth attending. Many of the attendees and presenters are members of RecruitingBlogs and can be found on their own blogs.
Check them out, and the events, and start planning to attend sometime. If you want to know what is going on in the technology of our industry, this is the place to be.
More to come on our dedicated page/group HERE....Noel
Comment by Valentino Martinez on October 8, 2012 at 9:38am Wish I could be there, but can't, so it's really great that you (the RBC Leadership Team) are and making the effort to keep the RBC membership community linked LIVE to the HRTech Conference in progress.
The value of the RBC continues to amaze...
