"People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."

- Rogers Hornsby

I can't be more excited about the start of baseball season! I truly love the game and can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be on a Sunday afternoon other than the ballpark. Hope springs eternal this time of year as well, and despite a less-than-stellar start, I'm still holding out hope that my Padres might make run at the 2014 pennant.

Unfortunately, sometimes hope is all we have, but at least I put my money where my heart is on this one...

What does my love of baseball have to do with recruiting and this blog? Nothing really. But I found this cool website that will compare the salaries of regular Joes to that of major league baseball players.

So now, if you ever wondered how many placements you need to earn the same annual salary as Carlos Quentin, you have an easy way to figure it out (spoiler: its a lot).
