I've been thinking a lot about Applicant Tracking as it relates to social. There is a clear trend towards social networking profiles becoming more widely used to evaluate talent. A Linkedin profile + Twitter stream + Facebook Likes can tell you a lot more about a candidate than just a plain paper resume.
So the question is, is it time for an ATS that lets you apply via social only? What if you just required the candidate to submit his/her social profile links in place of the regular resume. There are jobs that exist today which dont really require the traditional resume. I'm thinking of roles like Writers, Marketers, Social Media, Data Analysts and of course anything in technology.
What if you had an ATS let you specify a range of social media sites for the applicant to attach to their application? Please chime in with your thoughts.
