Jason Davis and I sat down at a desk of his a number of years ago when recruitingblogs.com was in it's infancy. To be honest, I think I was the 9th member to join up. There was definitely less than 20, and more than 5 members.. At one point, I had every single member as my "friend". I now have only 80 or so friends. Jason is both someone I respect professionally and a friend here in Toronto. Hats off to him.
Why the accolades now? Well, through recruitingblogs. i've met a contact that seems to be the start of a good splits relationship. Both the other recruiter and i seem to trust each other and are looking forward to helping a fast growing biotech/diagnostic company grow, and grow they will.
My biotech and scientific background, and her relationship with the client has and will open up more doors for her (and me) with this client. The client is taking a novel approach and flying me in to meet over two days with a slew of their staff, apparently something rare with this client. The number of positions they need filled is up in the air, but they are investing quite a bit to fly me from Toronto to Phoenix (dam, just when summer arrived in Toronto).
With search a bit slow at times right now, filling my time with solid splits opportunities is something i love to do (see www.biotechsplits.com). And this may turn out to be something really good.
I will keep recruitingblogs.com up to date with how this turns out.
