I don't think that it is a matter of concern if the companies do not provide employees to access their facebook, orkut, twitter, myspace or personal email accounts?
My company has banned all such accounts, but that hasn't restricted me from using any of those. It is not necessary that one has to be active on networking sites only at work. This can be done from home, internet cafes, and in most of the companies there are separate computers provided for employees to check their personal e-mails or social networking accounts during break time. I also did not understand how does it matter whether company has it's facebook account or not?
Individuals create such accounts by choice and companies have nothing to do with it. It's personal and not professional. Though recruiters have their professional interest as they get many candidates eg. you can get young professionals and talents on facebook.
