Let me start by saying, I love the recruiting business. Our business has provided my family and I (wife and 4 kids - all 5 and under!!), with an excellent living. In the past several years I have been more on the management side and given the opportunity to train and develop many new recruiters within both the corporate and agency side.

Over the years there are several words, words that I consider "dirty words", that I have seen destroy personal success and production. No recruiter should ever use the following words:

1. Can't
2. Don't
3. Won't
4. Did Not
5. Could not
6. Should Not

Let me use all these in three short sentences.

"I can't reach my goals, because I don't have the confidence in my skills. I won't be successful, because I did not apply my plan to action. I could not ascertain the monetary achievements that this business provides, because I should not have been a recruiter"

Remove the "dirty words" and this sentence reads a lot different:

"I can reach my goals, because I have confidence in my skills. I will be successful, because I do apply my plan to action. I can ascertain the monetary achievements that this business provides, because I AM a recruiter"

So, go forward and only use "clean" words.
