Between Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and all the other social networks out there, it's difficult to figure out where you should be focusing your efforts. Getting involved in social recruitment is a daunting task, and we've come up with a few suggestions for you:
1) Pick out a couple of social networks that you'd like to start with initially - this could be Facebook or Twitter. More than likely, you already have a Facebook and you're familiar with its interface. Narrowing your focus to 2 different networks allows you to get your feet wet without becoming overwhelmed.
2) Create a personal account to start with, and get used to those networks with no pressure. On Twitter, for example, follow a couple of people who are using Twitter well, whether it's a friend or coworker, and observe what they're tweeting, how often etc.
3) Once you feel comfortable with the platforms you're using, then get started in your recruitment efforts.
