Hi Team,
As you know I love sourcing and uncovering new ways to help us become more successful in our roles. Boolean logic is something I am very interested in. Some of you may have general Linkedin profiles and you may not actually be able to view candidates in your network as their profiles may be private or not shared with everyone. So, I started thinking about how we can get around that for you and began doing research. Here’s what I found to assist one of my co-workers with an Engineering search. I had to tweak the search string in order to generate the results we were looking for:
site:linkedin.com (inurl:pub OR inurl:in) -intitle:directory “current * Process Engineer” “location * Minneapolis” - this string allowed us to search folks with Process Engineer as their current title and residing in Minneapolis. This resulted in 56,500 results!
Here's another:
site:linkedin.com (inurl:pub OR inurl:in) -intitle:directory “past * Process Engineer ” “location * Minneapolis” - this string allowed us to search folks with Process Engineer as their past title and residing in Minneapolis. This resulted in nearly 60,000 results!
I will be testing out addition strings to fine tune the searches, but suggest that you all start experimenting with these!
Thank you!
