I am a Technical Account Manager looking to relocate to Chicago asap and have not had much time to job hunt. I am currently working which makes it even more difficult.
Please let me know if you know of any positions, know of recruiters that may be able to help or if anyone has any advice on how to find a job out of state while currently working.
Thanks!!!!
Hi Nicole,
Good to hear you might be moving to the area. Chicago is one of the world's most liveable cities!! In terms of advice, I think using your network is the way to go. I have a fairly extensive network of HR leaders and recruiting folk in the Chicago area -- having recruited here since the eighties -- so send me a short bio or the resume and I'll connect you to those I know.
Also, there are several recruiter organizations -- formal and loosely organized -- in the area. I can pull together a list if interested.
All the best,

What type of Technical Account Mgmt do you do? Staffing? Consulting? Full Desk? How many years? I can get you interviewed with my Chicago ops, if you have the "right stuff" in recruiting.
Hi Ian,
I do staffing. Started as a recruiter, now in account management with three recruiters working for me. Ideally, I prefer not to go back to 3rd party recruiting only (sitting at a desk all day pounding the phone). I like being out at client sites, taking clients to lunch, going to new potential client meetings, etc. However, I am open to hearing all opportunities.I would love to send you my resume if you can provide an email address.
Thank you for contacting me, I appreciate it.
Nicole.
Try to research IMC Solutions, they are based out of Chicago and at one point tried to recruit me but location was the problem.... They help place HR candidates.

The greatest compliment to my business is a referral. If you know
someone who is looking for HR opportunities or is hiring, please
give them my name and number. Thank you!

Nicole, we're not an agency. I was just trying to get a fix on your background. We are a Pure play Integration Consulting firm. LIke a Big-5, only not quite that big: we just had our first $1BB year.
Good money (best I have seen in the biz), good team (one of our largest). good opportunities to integrate with the clients, partners, etc. Our enviro is a hybrid between agency and corporate. We look for top-flight consultants, leaders, serious players in tech consulting. It's not "phone pounding" we're more interested in someone who knows how to ID and entice players from the Accentures and EDS, etc.
Best part is that many of our VPs and Directors started as recruiters. If you have a mind to learn the consulting world, you have a good "selling" mind, this would be the place to start.
To research us: www.ciber.com send me your resume, cover letter. ask me questions.
my phone: 303-220-0100 (ask for Ian or corporate recruiting)
I relocated to Chicago from New Jersey and came across this group. They work with Independent Contractors and could certainly find you an assignment until you find a position. Their consultants are high end and they have a client list of some of the best companies in Chicago. I have worked for Ossanna and find them to be the most professional group that I have come across. Below is their information. When you call them let them know that I referred you (Midge Hough) and I am sure they will take care of your needs.
I'm an internal Corporate Recruiter for Ajilon Professional Staffing in the Chicago market, and currently we are looking for Executive Recruiters throughout the region. Would you be open to having a conversation with me about your background, career goals, and our growth plans in the market? If so, please feel free to email me directly at roxanne.hensley@ajilon.com. Thanks, and hope to hear from you soon!
