Okay, I'm not sure that this is really an announcement as much as it is just a... okay... it's an announcement.

I started a new group with the focus being more on the job seeker than the recruiters or a niche group by definition. It's here on Ning and I'm very interested to see where it goes since I'm looking to customize it's growth based on it's membership.

My hope is that passive as well as active job seekers head there to network with each other under one umbrella and act as a resource for one another - not so much a "Social Network" as a "Talent Network." I'm envisioning resume tips, interview questions, best job board for this or that, type of stuff initially.

Anyone who knows me knows that I've got a second part of this little social experiment in mind, but I'd be interested in seeing how the interaction develops between the passive/active job seekers and any recruiters that join.
