Brief job description: (what is exciting about this contract and/or position?)


CISSP certified IT Security specialist to provide support with securing the Redhat Linux environment, assist customer with IT Security Certification and Accreditation, conduct system security scans, and remediation of deficiencies discovered during security scans.


Security Specialist to manage systems security for the systems environment with the following skills:
- Strong experience in IT Security in a Redhat Linux environment
- Experience IT security audits, C&A accreditation and remediation
- Knowledge and understanding of government regulations, policies and practices
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- CISSP certification is required


The Sr. IT Security consultant will be responsible for system security management support and provide support for ongoing and recurring IT security audits of system, corrective action planning, remediation, and support to teams for IT security C&A, documentation, planning, and POAMS.




Education, Certifications: BS or MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar

Specific skills/ required: CISSP certification required
