How do you introduce yourself to people you meet in business?
I'm an Internet entrepreneur and general good guy! I've worked for small and large companies both here in the U.S. and the U.K. having both American and British nationality.

My current project is implu! implu is an online tool for prospecting, networking and market research. No other site keeps you informed with daily news, custom searches and daily email alerts. No other site provides you with an executive's business associations allowing you to network your way into new clients. No other site provides comprehensive company information on just one page.

We now have over 1 million contact points! They consist of:

* U.S. public company data - officers, directors & major investors
* Nonprofit data - See the Top 20 Nonprofits (by asset)
* Lobbyist data - Do you know the lobbying efforts of Microsoft?

We've now released the first phase of our social networking initiative, implu Stories! With implu Stories, users can develop content, tags and assign related URLs based on implu information.

These tools are available by creating a free implu account. With the free account comes a public profile page with BIO info, Quick Facts, Bookmarks and of course, Stories!

I have the solution to my dislike of sales!

When I signed up, my first post was entitled "I'm new to sales and I don't like it!". I now have the answer to my woes. Offer it for FREE! Yes, implu is now a 100% FREE site. This way, I won't have to deal with sales. Ha! Think I'm crazy? We triple our traffic every 30 days. We grew our Google Index by 33% in just one week! Our site is ranked in the top 62k in the US (according to Alexa) in just 4 months. The only impediment to true exponential growth is that silly old barrier called a subscri… Continue

I am the “Admin” for the Recruiters On LinkedIn group, www.recruitingblogs.com/group/linkedin. You have recently joined and this is a "welcome" to the group and "here is how it works".

Over the past year I have been experimenting how best to facilitate members being able to connect with each other. Some want to connect with everyone and some are looking for a few meaningful connections.

1-2 times per week I send a group introduction message with 10-15 new members and reintroducing others.

What this means for you is simple, do you wish to be introduced to the group?

You have 4 options from which to choose:

(A) “Open Networker” with name, email address, and LinkedIn URL as you want to connect with anyone and everyone.

(B) “General Introduction” with name and LinkedIn URL as you are specific about who you want to connect with.

(C) “Lurker” no announcement will be made as you want to be on the sidelines connecting with people as you wish.

(D) “Super Open Networker” which is (A) plus having your contact information on the group page.

A caution on the “Open Networker”, you may be inundated with invitations to connect. For some this is exactly what they are hoping for and others this could be a pain.

I do ask, if you receive invitations from members you do not want to connect with that you “Archive” the message versus “I don’t know” so the sender is not penalized by LinkedIn although how you handle this is up to you.

Again your options are (A), (B), (C), (D).

Please include your LinkedIn URL and email address you prefer to receive invitations and send to paul@mnheadhunter.com

Thank you for your time.

Hope to connect to you here and LinkedIn! (Profile www.linkedin.com/in/shaojunzhang).
Thank you.

Do you often post jobs on twitter? Or just networking?

Btw, if you have some requirement, you can go to my site:http://jobirn.com to search thousands of passive IT candidates. If any openings, please let me know at jackchang#jobirn.com. Thanks.
