ng to hear the reaction from her peers. She's a tough kid and didn't get too upset, but when she found out that some of her most vocal critics didn't even bother to vote, that's what really set her off! :)
Heck my first election I cast a vote for Perot so what do I know?? :) I'm with you on the talking heads... I'm more of a "pox on both their houses" independent lol. I don't get invited to many parties. :)
And John, I too am sorry your thread went sideways. Ok back to work! Suresh said:
Amy, kudos to your daughter for actually voting for her beliefs. Not afraid of being different, thats great.
I tried to teach my kids to think independently and not necessarily follow a party line.
The younger generation has been exposed to a lot more diversity (whether growing up in schools, neighbors, online, travel) and they are not afraid of differences. This is just my obeservation from my personal experiences over the last 25 years in this country. We are changing as a country and some part of the population have trouble accepting this and the politicians and talking heads take advantage of this crowd for ratings and votes.
By the way John, sorry to hijack your Obamacare discussion.
e versus what they bill for the firm?
If I bill $500k and bring home $450k . . . are my billings any more or less "Big" than the person who bills $1 Mil and brings home $300k? Likewise, if I sell 5 Aston Martins . . . and another salesperson sells 100 Toyotas . . . who reaps the higher margin (despite the lower aggregate revenue)?
And if it's the take-home that really matters in an election year when the Economy is "Issue #1", will Big Billers ever be evaluated on their W-2 or Sched-K instead of annual billings to the firm?
for everytime somebody lied to me, I wouldn't have to recruit. I have stretched the truth in the past and probably will stretch the truth in the future but I admit it. As fas as morals go, I have clients asking me to "raid" competitors as a matter of routine. I have candidates lying through their teeth on resumes. You deal in a world that is very subjective. What is a lie to you may not be anything more than a simple statement to others. Look at the past election campaigns. They are the professionals. If you believe in and know right from wrong, you'll do OK. If not, run for office.......Enjoy the day...........…

I think it must be de rigeur these days to put your young children out front and center - I mean - who takes 4 months to find/pick a family dog?
"Sasha and Malia, I love you both more than you can imagine," Obama said in his Election Night address. "You have earned the puppy that is coming with us."
I mean, come on, what did they have to do with it? Or didn't?
was neck and neck. So how important was his likeability. And some people claim that he only won by buying votes in West Virginia.
Bill Clinton, I hear he's very likeable but I would say that a lot - and I mean a lot of people hated him too. And why didn't he get kicked out of office? I'm not sure it was because he was likeable.
Is Obama likeable? Not in the chummy sense. He inspired people in his first campaign and maybe that ability is included in what you mean by likeable.
