Each year brings with it a heightened bar for the candidate experience, as well as the success of recruiters. I refer to this evolution asKeeping up in the HR tech arms race. While there is more to the equation, attracting great…

1 Research- Start hunting for ATS vendors relevant to your industry only. Refrain from making assumptions on this stage and ask for referrals, evaluation and the best would be a trial. Shortlist whether your desired ATS caters to staffing, small business or big enterprises. All major ATS… Continue

I have made a decision. I think I am going to write a book on the safest way to skydive. Now, I've never been skydiving, nor is it likely that I ever will as I am afraid of heights. But really, how hard can it be? Stick a parachute in a backpack - hitch a ride on a plane - open the door - jump - scream -… Continue

Robots are also complex and serious, yet in a dramatically different way. Depending on the perspective, robots are either credited… Continue

Recently I have been considering whether freelance work is for me or if I would be better to have the security of a permanent role and I thought I would share my experiences.
Having now sat both sides of the fence as a recruiter and now as a candidate I have been shocked that many companies are not making any… Continue

Here we go… another horrible example of the type of cold call/emails some recruiters are sending.
I’ve never heard of the recruiter that sent this - who according to their LI profile, has been an agency recruiter since 2008 and has a whopping 36 connections. I don’t recall having any prior interactions with their agency and don’t know how they have my email address. What I do know is this a one of the lamest messages I’ve seen in quite a while.
The email… Continue
